Meaningful Moments That Build Our Community

At Southside our traditions are a way we celebrate our school and community. Through meaningful events that bring students, families, and staff together, we celebrate faith, friendship, and growth in joyful and memorable ways.

Our school celebrates a variety of traditions and events each year—offerings may vary, making every season special.

Grades 4–8 kick off the year with outdoor activities, worship, and time to connect with classmates.
Students build friendships, strengthen their faith, and practice leadership through shared outdoor adventures and reflection.

Each fall, students walk or run to support school programs while promoting health and teamwork.
This fun fitness event encourages school spirit, builds community, and supports classroom needs through student-led fundraising.

This annual gathering brings families together for a relaxed evening of shared food and fellowship.
Families connect with staff and one another in a casual setting that celebrates our shared values and Christian community.

All students participate in this joyful celebration of Christ’s birth through music and Scripture.
This cherished event is a highlight of the year, showcasing students’ gifts and reminding us all of the true meaning of Christmas.

Families gather for a festive breakfast as children meet Santa, take photos, and celebrate the joy of the season together. This treasured tradition brings our school community together in a warm and memorable way.

Each year, students showcase their creativity and knowledge through either a living history Wax Museum or an interactive Science Fair. These rotating events encourage curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning as students present their work to families and the school community.

A joyful evening where students share their hard work with friends and families, coming together to enjoy a night of music and celebration.

A special day for classroom visits and performances honoring the extended Southside community.
Loved ones are invited to experience a glimpse of school life and enjoy student presentations that build intergenerational bonds.

All students wrap up the school year with a fun day at Silverwood Theme Park—closed to the public and open only for private schools. It’s a well-earned celebration of student growth, friendship, and the completion of another faith-filled school year.

At Southside, Traditions like these help every student feel seen, supported, and connected—forming lifelong memories and a deep sense of belonging. We’d love to welcome your family to Southside Christian School.
