At Southside Christian School, learning doesn’t end when the bell rings. Our extracurricular programs offer students the chance to explore their interests, develop new skills, and connect with peers through Christ-centered enrichment activities.

Southside Christian School Athletics & Sports
Our students participate in a wide range of athletics and sports—offerings may vary from year to year, bringing new opportunities to grow and compete.
Soccer
Fall trimester | Grades 5–8
Our soccer program promotes physical fitness, collaboration, and perseverance. Students build teamwork and discipline while learning the fundamentals of the sport and practicing Christian sportsmanship.
Cross Country
Fall trimester | Grades 1–8
Cross Country helps students build endurance and mental toughness. Runners set goals, train regularly, and experience the satisfaction of personal growth through perseverance and prayerful focus.
Volleyball
Fall/Winter | Dates TBD based on interest
Volleyball offers students an introduction to competitive play with a focus on communication, agility, and coordination. A great opportunity to develop athletic confidence in a supportive environment.
Basketball
Winter | Grades 5–8
Our basketball teams learn strategy, agility, and the value of teamwork. Players develop a competitive spirit with a Christlike attitude, highlighted by a 1st place league finish in 2018–2019.
Cheer Team
Year-round | Grades 2–8
The cheer team brings energy and school spirit to athletic events throughout the year. Students practice rhythm, routines, and encouragement as they support their classmates.
