Safety and Security Rules

The following items are not permitted for use during school hours:

Walkman or portable music devices
Skateboards or in-line skates
Cell phones
Electronic gaming devices

Parents will be notified immediately and possibly required, depending on the severity, to come to school to pick up their child early for any of the following:

Acts or threats of violence
Acts or threats of bullying
Acts or threats of sexual harassment
Physical contact with the opposite sex

The proper authorities will be contacted for the following:

Possession or use of illegal drugs
Possession or use of alcohol
Possession of weapons
Possession or use of dangerous articles

Bicycles may be ridden to school, if permitted by parents. Bikes should be locked up outside the school by the playground off Latawah Street.

School rules apply to all students when on school property regardless of the time.

Special Note: Southside Christian School is not staffed or equipped to handle children with severe emotional or behavioral challenges. If the child is unable to control his/her behavior or is a threat to the well being of other children, the child will not be able to continue in the program.
